What this is
Clutch Hoopers is an independent editorial index of hotels. It covers four categories and nothing else: art hotels, capsule hotels, casino hotels and ice hotels. Eleven properties in total.
The list is short on purpose. A long directory tends to flatten everything into the same few adjectives. Eleven entries leave room to say what actually makes each one different.
How entries are written
Every description is prose. We stick to general, well-established facts about each hotel: where it is, what the building is like, what guests can expect to find there. We avoid claims that would go stale within a season, and we don't publish prices, rankings or star ratings.
Casino hotels are treated as hotels. Rooms, restaurants, theatres and spas come first in those entries; the gaming floor is noted as one feature of the property.
What we don't do
We don't take bookings. We don't process payments. We have no commercial arrangement with any hotel listed here, and a place on the list can't be bought.
About the name
The domain is simply the address the project started on. The site itself is about hotels, and only hotels.
